Make Fashion Go Vegan, “Animals Are Not Ours To Wear”
Humanity is a celebration of ethical beliefs, a deep desire towards progression and a movement on healing bruises. It is the foundation towards common causes to uphold rights, not just for the people, but as a protection of life of animals as well. Whether we speak about showstoppers ramping in New York or Navi Mumbai, the nascent voice for “stop killing animals for fashion” is making the need-of-the-hour vibrations.
In 2016, Pune Fashion Week (PFW) supported People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), India by promoting animal free (vegan) fashion. Its motto, in part, reads, “Animals are not ours to wear.” National and international designers and fashionistas displayed their couture collections to exhibit an exemplary look without skinning, gassing and tormenting animals.
